ORIGIN & FUNCTIONS

COUNTY MANAGER

Appointed by the County Council, the County Manager directs, supervises, and coordinates the administrations and functions of all County departments, agencies, and offices; is responsible for the care and custody of County Government buildings and real property; administers County purchasing policies; present a proposed capital and annual expense budget to the Council; and advises the County Council on the financial condition and future needs of the County (County Charter, sec. 405).
