Born in Richmond, Virginia, November 13, 1930. Attended Richmond, Virginia, public schools; Prairie View A & M College, Prairie View, Texas, B.S. (mathematics), 1951. Served in U.S. Army, 1951-74, retiring as colonel (Legion of Merit (2), Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star (3), Meritorious Service Medal (2), Air Medal (6), Joint Services Commendation Medal (2); Army Commendation Medal). George Washington University, M.S., 1974; Georgetown University Law School, J.D., 1977. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1978. Member, American and Maryland State Bar Associations; director, Prince George's County Bar Association. Member, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Died in Bowie, Maryland, November 20, 2006.
