Annual Report to Governor & General Assembly due Jan 1, beginning 2012 (Chapter 635, Acts of 2010).
The Maryland Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Authority was authorized in October 2010 (Chapter 635, Acts of 2010). The Fund covers the costs of public education and outreach programs, and the development of safety procedures to prevent damage to underground facilities (Code Public Utilities Article, sec. 12-117).
Appointed to two-year terms by the Governor, nine members constitute the Authority (Code Public Utilities Article, secs. 12-106 through 12-114).
