DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS BRANCH
Under Maryland Emergency Management Agency, established in 1999 and renamed Domestic Preparedness and Law Enforcement Liaison in 2007. Renamed Domestic Preparedness in 2008. Abolished in 2008.
INFANTRY, 58TH BRIGADE COMBAT TEAM
Under Maryland Army National Guard, renamed 58th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade in Sept. 2010.
LOGISTICS DIRECTORATE
Under Maryland Emergency Management Agency, the Logistics Directorate started as the Budget, Fiscal and Logistics Division. The Division became Personnel, Fiscal and Logistics in 2002, and was restructured as the Logistics Directorate in 2004. Abolished in 2007.
MARYLAND RADIOLOGIC FACILITY
At Middle River, the Facility (a laboratory for instrument calibration) closed on Oct. 1, 1997.

To coordinate defense against a terrorist attack, the Governor created the Maryland Terrorism Forum in 1998. Members of the Forum represented those federal, State and local agencies responsible for preparing, responding and recovering from terrorist attack. The Forum worked through committees to develop policies and manage efforts to improve defense. The Forum was disbanded in Dec. 2003, and its functions assumed by the Emergency Management Advisory Council.
OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY
Within the Maryland Emergency Management Agency, the Office of Technology formed in Sept. 2002. In Sept. 2004, it was renamed the Technical Support Directorate.
